It"s ten years old, but still remains one of the world"s fastest ever cars. Ladies and gentlemen of the Internet, may we present to you a rather pristine, Lizstick Red" Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. It is being offered up for auction at the end of July at RM Sotheby"s Motor City sale, and you will want to pay some attention to it.Chiefly because, well, it remains one of the world"s fastest ever cars. Introduced as a follow-up to the standard Saleen S7 (if you can call it that), this S7 TT featured a 7.0-litre aluminium V8, to which a pair of Garrett turbochargers were attached. The great big lump of power was mounted in the middle, attached to a six-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. And what power. It made 750bhp, and boasted a 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds. Top speed? 248mph. Yes. In 2006. And that"s not even the most powerful iteration of the S7 TT either.Still, it got new front and rear wings over the regular Saleen S7, along with a slightly reprofiled aero package, and of the 13 S7 TTs built, this red one is the very last. It"s said to be in factory fresh" condition, has covered just 300 miles via two owners from new, and was last serviced in May 2016.It"s even got the original window sticker and luggage set.Price? It"s estimated to sell for between $650k-750k so up to 520k. A veritable bargain for a proper all-American high performance machine. Even Iron Man had one in his garage
