If the Porsche Panamera isn't quite big, imposing or expensive enough for your tastes, then worry no longer. There are apparently at least 99 other people out there who share your thoughts, as Porsche has rustled up 100 units of this Exclusive Series special edition.
Based on the most potent Panamera - the 562bhp, 4.8-litre V8 Turbo S - it has a whole host of extra fripperies to lift it above Porsche's dozens of other Panamera variants.
It's a long wheelbase version, for starters, as is painted is a mixture of black and brown metallics, hand applied ‘to ensure a harmonious blend of colour', we're told. The black ‘Sport Classic' wheels are 20in in diameter and perhaps a little incongruous on a car this size.
Inside, the brown theme continues. The posh 'Poltrona Frau' leather is chestnut-hued, while pieces of contrasting black leather use brown stitching. The ventilated seats get perforated Porsche badges to emit their refreshing, undercarriage-chilling air.
A clue as to the kind of person this Panamera targets lies in the effort bestowed upon the rear seats; the Exclusive Series provides the debut appearance for Porsche's snappily titled new Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus package.
This comprises a 10.1-inch touchscreen for each rear passenger, with a DVD player, camera and internet access. Their sound can be played through wireless headphones or via the car's Burmester sound system.
Just 100 will be made, priced at 249,875 euros - that's a high-mileage Mk1 Boxster shy of £200,000 at current rates, and the most expensive Porsche this side of a 918.
It's left-hand drive only, but if you're making your way through boxsets in the back, that's your chauffeur's problem...
