Volvo has some history with estates. The Amazon was the original; the first car fitted with three-point seatbelts, and one that featured a split hatch booth and hinged number plate. The 850 Tourer showed us that touring cars can be so cool (you're welcome, Honda).
We have literally no idea if this new Volvo Concept Estate in the pictures above will feature a split-hatch boot, hinged number plate or if it will make it to production and then go racing, but we do know it will have a slinky shape. And nice wheels.
Because this is literally all the information we have on Volvo's Geneva Motor Show centrepiece, teased ahead of its reveal in Switzerland in just under two weeks time.
Will this new estate make a great first car in 20 years time as Jeremy said its predecessors did? Will it sit alongside the company's effortlessly excellent concept cars of late (the Concept Coupe and XC Concept Coupe)? Only time will tell. Stay tuned.
