The BMW Car Club of America and Alpina have joined forces to create what might be the ideal Alpina supersaloon. Meet the Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe CCA Edition. Snappy titles do not come as standard.Hauling along that severely over endowed name is a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 developing 600bhp and 590lb ft. All of that"s harnessed with all-wheel drive, or xDrive as BMW likes to term it, so the B6 arrives at 60mph 3.6 seconds after setting off, and isn"t interested in a 155mph limiter. In fact, it"ll run all the way on to 198mph. To create the CCA Edition", this particular B6 is carrying some very choice mods. There"s the detail stuff, like lacquered silver inscriptions on the centre console, and white stitching on the steering wheel to match the white leather upholstery. Not one for a road-trip happy family, this car.
