The humble, yet oft used Porsche 944. It"s beloved by bargain racers, and reviled by Porsche purists. It"s a car that doesn"t fit with the heritage that is Porsche, yet it"s the car that inspires so many young enthusiasts and fans to further their love of all things that emanate from Stuttgart. I have friends with 944s that absolutely love the car, and now love the brand even more than before. This 944 however, is anything but what Porsche intended. Gone is the old Porsche motor, and in its place, a refurbished C5 Corvette drivetrain that now gives this gun metal grey Porsche the demonic presence it"s so rightly deserved. The car only has 90k miles on the odometer and with 345 horsepower when stock, that LS1 will definitely keep it wanting more. The seller wants $14,500 for the LS1 Porsche 944, and while that"s possibly a tad overpriced, you"re paying for a rather unique 944. So what do you all think? Love it or revile it? You be the judge.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >>Tags: 944, Corvette, Custom, For Sale, ls1, Porsche, Swap
