In 2014 Manx rallyist Mark Higgins lapped the Isle of Man TT course in 19:15:888, with an average speed of 117.51mph. In doing so, he set the record for the fastest four-wheeled lap of the 37.75-mile circuit a little over two minutes shy of the bike record John McGuinness would go on to set a year later.And now he"s back. Higgins"s car of choice in 2014 was a near-production spec" Subaru WRX STI, but the ante has been upped quite considerably for 2016. Subaru"s partnered up with Prodrive to build a time attack special, tailored specifically to the unique demands of the TT course.
