This week"s Throwback video takes us back a few months to watch a new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 taking on the 1.5 mile Mojave Magnum top speed track. The C7 Z06 is a beast, but this particular Corvette has been fitted with the Callaway SC757 package, which adds a new blower, an exhaust system and a tune to lift the output from 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque to 757 horsepower and 777 lb-ft of torque making this Z06 even nastier than most. The good part of the video begins about 58 seconds in, when the driver of this Callaway SC757 Corvette Z06 gets the go-ahead to launch. The driver eases it out a bit with a touch of tire spin, but he still gets to 60 miles per hour in under 4 seconds and 100 miles per hour in just 7.3 seconds. This 757 hp Corvette cruises past the mile mark in just 11.5 seconds and when the driver reached the end of the 1.5 mile track, he was traveling with an official speed of 202.3 miles per hour, but we can see that the Performance Data Recorder reached 205 miles per hour just below the driver lifted.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!Tags: C7, Callaway, Corvette, Top Speed, Z06
