This week"s Throwback Thursday video isn"t all that old, but it is an interesting piece, introducing the people of Dubai to the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.While the Camaro isn"t quite marketed on a fully global level, it is sold in a handful in markets outside of the United States. One of those markets is Dubai, which has become a hot bed of high performance cars in the wealthy little Middle Eastern country and earlier this year, Chevrolet introduced the 6th gen Camaro to buyers in Dubai via this 2-minute commercial.In this video, the company highlights a handful of features of the 2016 Camaro SS, including the fact that it is 90kg lighter, faster with the 455hp LT1 V8 and smarter via the magnetic ride control system all of which allow it to move out from 0-100kmh and back down to a stop in only 313 meters. To prove that, GM took the Camaro to a 313 foot airport runway of Skydive Dubai with a stunt driver to drives the new SS from 0 to 100 and gets stopped right at the edge of the platform.In an area where high tech, high performance cars are all the rage, this ad shows that the 2016 Camaro SS can compete with the best.
