This supercharged 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS is one of the baddest sedans on the street, even by today"s standards. This week"s Throwback Thursday video features a look at a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS in a feature posted to YouTube back in 2012. The 1994-1996 Impala SS has a lasting legacy of being a wicked high performance sedan, but this particular full-size Chevy sedan is like few other Impalas on the road or few other sedans in general.Rather than the standard 5.7L LT1 V8 delivering 260 horsepower and 330lb-ft of torque, this 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS has been fitted with an LT1 which has been stroked to 383 cubic inches and fitted with a set of stock LT1 heads from a Camaro. Next, the crew from Finish Line Performance added a Procharger F1 supercharger, which at 18 pounds of boost creates around 775 horsepower at the rear wheels. According to the Dan Bills of Finish Line Performance this blown and stroked LT1 makes right around 1,000 horsepower at the front of the transmission and thanks to some unique cooling modifications like the vented front fascia this monster sedan runs cool in any condition.Speaking of the transmission, while the 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS was only offered with a 4-speed automatic transmission, this high powered Chevy sedan is fitted with a T56 6-speed manual transmission and a set of manual pedals from a Camaro or Firebird. In addition to giving us a look at this 1995 Chevy Impala SS and offering up the key details, this video also includes plenty of footage of the 1000hp sedan roaring down the road and idling in a parking lot letting us hear the blown LT1 in a variety of settings.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!

Dam thought it was going to be amuscle car impala not a resomable modern impala,

I like those and they were stout performers in their day, more than match for the Mercury Marauders IIRC.
And with a 1000hp on tap that one is a serious sleeper!

Looks mean ;)
