Interesting. That is my main concern about owning an electric car. You hear things like the battery won't hold charge after 5years and the cost of the battery if £5k plus or possibly more than the car is worth. Great that battery replacement is covered by warranty.
Mind you just re-read the post that's hybrid, not totally electric.
 
As I’ve said before. Electric cars are not the future.
Too many compromises, and whilst I happily took the plunge on my company car it’s not my money. If it was my money I would definitely not be investing £30k+ on a vehicle with an uncertain future especially not knowing the battery life and subsequent re-sale value. Perhaps if money is not a concern....
