Packing 800 hp, few would bet against this Corvette racing a fancy new pickup. But they’d be oh so wrong.Ask anyone, and you’ll probably get the same answer. Few would ever bet that a GMC Sierra Denali could ever outrun a highly modified 800 hp C7 Corvette Z06. And you could probably count us among them. Heck, we don’t care how many turbos you throw at it. A truck is a truck, which means it’s heavy. And not so aerodynamic. And it generally doesn’t have enough weight over the rear tires, either. But silly physics goes out the window when you’re packing 1,300 hp of twin-turbo punch, apparently.Just scope out this clip from 1320video if you don’t believe us. From a roll, the Denali absolutely lays waste to this Corvette like it’s some kind of hybrid econobox. Of course, roll racing somewhat alleviates the downside of excessive weight and lack of traction. But this result is still impressive. No matter how you slice it, or try to make excuses for it.
