The Mercedes-AMG GT-S is not slow. Nor is it devoid of wing. RENNtech however, has decided that both of these essential performance parameters needed addressing.Allow us to introduce you to their latest product release. It"s a turbo and suspension upgrade that takes the AMG GT-S into quite lofty territory, having been extensively tested and finally signed off after a stint at the N rburgring. Because N rburgring.AMG"s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 gets a new set of upgraded turbochargers, which feature lightweight billet compressor wheels and larger impellers. Naturally. The compressor housings themselves are CNC machined and flow tested, while elsewhere, there is a stainless steel exhaust and some high flow air filters. The result? That headline 716bhp figure, and 656lb ft of torque to play with. Yep, all of the power. It"s allied to adjustable coilover suspension that works with Merc-AMG"s own standard adaptive damping system, and lowers the car by 1.5in.No word on how quickly it will accelerate from 0-62mph (the regular" AMG GT S does it in 3.8s, and as we found out here, can outrun a Porsche 911 GTS too), but expect fireworks. It"ll cost you $11,880 for the performance, and $1,980 for the springs. No idea on the additional diffusers and huge wing. Or red alloys. Or colour, but hey, if you want, you can haveWould you?Pics via RENNtech
