Just thought I would mention a fantastic weekender event at Twinwood Nr Bedford. We went yesterday got there about 11am and was totally blown away by the whole period music and costume event. wear your own or hire for the day / weekend.
Four dance stages and a full stage arena for endless music and dancing from the 1940s to 50s. Twinwood which was the former US airbase during WW2 was the last place Glenn Miller was seen alive boarding his last fateful flight and Twnwood I believe was the only live concert he gave in the UK.
There is too much to list as far as events , costumes cars and of course the fly by aerial display by spitfire and mustang aircraft which was flown so low it made the ground vibrate !!!!!!
check it out for next year , its about a 2 hr drive but well worth it and you can camp , caravan or motor home it the whole weekend with full site facilities !!!
