Vauxhall has confirmed that it intends to build a fully electric version of its best-selling Corsa supermini in 2020. News, no doubt, to interest the learner drivers and pensioners of this fair land. It"ll also electrify the Grandland X as a plug-in hybrid, along with two other models and in total, plans on every single Vauxhall being electrified by 2024. About that Corsa. Vauxhall is now part of the Peugeot-Citroen group, and as such the new supermini will likely share a platform with the next generation Peugeot 208 and Citroen C3. Said platform is capable of storing electricity for propulsive force, so it makes sense the 2020 Corsa would use this.
