Vice President Biden is not known to be a soft-spoken man, but now comes news that the Corvette-lover is apparently a betting man – at least when it comes to cars.He made a $10 wager with a reporter that the new Cadillac CTS-V is faster from 0-60 mph than the Tesla Model S P90D. He lost. Whatever your political affiliation, it’s hard to blame Biden for putting his money on the GM juggernaut. After all, it has the big supercharged V8 from the new Corvette Z06 under its vented hood that cranks out a colossal 640 horsepower. How can an electric car beat that?.@VP bet on @Cadillac via @WhiteHouse pool report in Rome pic.twitter.com/hxnjM7DwTX— David Shepardson (@davidshepardson) April 29, 2016Well…the Tesla’s 259-hp front and 503-hp rear motors help. Those figures add up to a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds – on the slow side. In Ludicrous mode, the P90D can hit that benchmark speed in 2.8 seconds. The Caddy? Somewhere around 3.6 or 3.7 seconds.Good to hear Biden paid what he owed. We just hope we don’t have to pay for a speeding ticket when we get our hands on a CTS-V in a few weeks.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >>via [Road & Track]photo credit [The Onion]Follow @derekshiekhiTags: Cadillac, Corvette, CTS-V, LT4, Z06
