In next year"s Italian hillclimb championship, a gentleman named Marco Gramenzi will drive an Alfa Romeo 4C. Nothing of note there, aside from the small matter of 600bhp and the mother of all rear wings. It"s been built by a company called Picchio Racing, and, well, to "call it Alfa Romeo 4C is probably a bit wrong", because the only thing that remains from the road-going Alfa is the chassis. So, the wheelbase has been extended by around 30cm, it"s got pushrod suspension, those tiny 13in wheels, a big wing, and a modified version of the 4C"s 1750cc four-pot. It also gets a sequential gearbox and a soundtrack from the devil himself. Here"s some action from a test day, "doing a warm up and a few fly-bys and accelerations on the hillclimb course". Sure, it"s not the prettiest 4C, but it"s certainly one of the angriestShare this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
