Australians get it. The Holden Commodore SS-V Sportwagon is a fast, large-bodied wagon with power sent to the rear wheels by way of a V-8. What"s not to love? Moreover, Australian tuner, Walkinshaw Performance, loves to take these beasts and make them nasty. What we have here is a 2010 SS-V that Walkinshaw calls the "Superwagon". The standard SS-V Sportwagon gets a tuned suspension and some new 20 inch wheels and rubber. Power enhancements include larger injectors and a performance exhaust system, but a great portion of the added horsepower comes from a WP 190 supercharger. After all is said and done, output is increased to a rather healthy 603 horsepower and 568 foot-pounds of torque. Walkinshaw is relatively mum on just how fast the Superwagon is, but they"ve stated it will hit 62 mph in under 5 seconds. While we Americans cannot lay claim to a big-bodied wagon as cool as this, at least we"ll always have the Griswold Family Truckster.
