As unlikely combos go, Ford Raptor and N rburgring is right up there. Mixing the two shouldn"t work, but as drift ace Vaughn Gittin Jr so brilliantly demonstrates in this video, it so, so does. Watch as he slithers around a wet Ring in Ford"s most extreme pick-up to date, complete with twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 (as used in the Ford GT, a car MUCH more suited to the Ring), ten-speed automatic transmission and switchable (obviously) all-wheel drive. So, 450bhp and 510lb ft are indeed big enough numbers to break those massive rear tyres loose, as we discovered when we drove one in the UK last month and Vaughn ably demonstrates here, and it looks pretty controllable at that. Not that we"d try such a thing ourselves you understand.
