This week"s Throwback video is a commercial for the 1980 Chevrolet Camaro that was clearly made by someone other than General Motors. During the course of the video, we see vehicles that are much newer than the 1980 Camaro hero car, which when combined with the crazy on-road antics guarantees that it wasn"t made by the automaker. This video starts off by showing us the 1980 Chevrolet Camaro from all sorts of angles, followed by it breaking flames and doing a quick burnout. We then see this classic Camaro blast along a narrow residential road, reaching speeds of 140 miles per hour in an area with vehicles backing out of driveways in front of the driver who we never see.In reality, this 1980 Camaro is clearly going much slower and the video speed has been increased, but GM would never suggest that driving like this is a neighborhood is a good idea. However, it is an interesting homemade video on the 1980 Camaro so crank up your speakers and enjoy!Tags: 2nd Gen Camaro, camaro, throwback thursday
