This week"s Throwback video takes us back to 1969, when your local Chevrolet dealership had both a high performance car in the Camaro Z28 and a high performance truck in the CST/10 pickup. With the help of French Olympic skiing medalist Jean Claude Killy, General Motors touts how their "69 CST/10 sport truck. This sporty pickup offered features like bucket seats, a 4-speed manual transmission and a 396 cubic inch big block V8.The 1969 Chevy Custom Sport Truck was easily one of the best performing pickups of the era and in the video, we see the French skier cruising along a twist road which the full sized pickup handles with ease.The commercial then shifts to the 1969 Camaro Z28, also with Killy at the wheel, and the narrator declares that the "69 Z28 is the closest thing to a Vette yet.
