The time has come to put my Willys coupe replica up for sale, I have been going back and forth with the idea for some time now but have finally made the decision to sell her. I first got the shell back in 2007, I then spent 3 years building the car from the ground up ready for my wedding day in 2010. I managed to get her on the road just before my wedding and my cousin drove me to my big day. It wasn t an easy build as anyone that has ever worked with fibreglass will tell you! I poured over countless pictures and made many modifications to the body to get the look just right. The original engine was an AMC 360 but it turned out to have a crack between the cylinders so I sold it to someone wanting the top end. The next engine was a Lexus 3UZ 4.3l that I got cheap, I added a 471 blower and blew a rod out the side within 2 hours! The engine that comes with this car is now a modified 1UZ as they have stronger rods! The frame rails are wide enough to accept most engines though.

Here is a list of the build;

GRP body heavily modified so everything fits as it should with aluminium floors, grill and light surrounds, laminated front windscreen,tempered side and back windows.
Narrowed 4HA rear axle with rose jointed 4 link, poly bushed watts linkage and anti-roll bar and Gaz coil overs.
Modified scimitar front suspension, ball joint on upper and lower arms, poly bushes, anti-roll bar, Gaz coil overs.
Mitsubishi GTO 4 pot calipers all round, 305mm front discs, 300mm rear discs, Subaru Impreza master cylinder and braided brake lines.
Centreline Auto drag wheels, 15 x 4 front with Nankang tyres,and 15 x 10 rear with Mickey Thompson tyres.
Rack and pinion steering, Mountney wood rimmed steering wheel.
New wiring loom.
LED replica Willys tail lights.
Electric windows.
Carter fuel pump.
New aluminium radiator, silicone hoses.
Megajolt programmable ignition with edis-8.
Innovate wideband 02.
Faria rev counter.
Acewell speedo/fuel/water temp/ gauge.
TH400 transmission with shift kit and 3000rpm converter.
B&M shifter.
TRS harnesses.
Cobra seats (passenger one has become torn).
(Not in car) Toyota 1UZ engine modified to accept 3UZ heads (bigger valves and ports), cam timing fixed for boost, inch head studs/washers and nuts, custom inlet manifold (needs finishing), standard 671 blower, custom headers with 3 inch exhausts.

Bad points;

The body needs to be repainted as the paint is looking tired now, also some very minor repairs
The interior is pretty much non-existent, (I actually like it this way)
The engine needs to be put in place and inlet manifold sorting out
The blower will need work (bearings, pinned, snout)
Hole in bonnet (for blower)

She is registered as a 1954 Ford Popular so no MOT or Tax to worry about.
