Windows Phone

Got the Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 930) on trial at work.
As an Apple man, I'm quite impressed!!!

However, it does make me laugh.
Our system setup is Microsoft all the way, and yet the Windows Phone will not autodetect the email settings and just sits there whilst the Apple devices does it in seconds!!!!

Sarah had a windows phone for a few days before moving back to android. She wanted the phone to pop up as an external drive when plugged in a PC like most other phones to easily copy her music onto it, but it wouldn't let you do it.
I'm sure all phones have good points and bad points.

Glad you got there in the end. Will you be possibly rolling these out to your employees?

Its a possibility, although I know the senior managers and directors prefer the iPhone. I can't say I blame them, even though I have to carry two iPhones daily!
I just can't see them giving up the iPhone in favour of the Windows phone, despite the costs saving.
I actually quite like the windows phone, but discovered a major flaw - app support. Two apps, on which I rely quite heavily on my personal phone, just don't exist on the Windows platform. So Microsoft have some catching up today before i could consider switching.

That is one major downside to the Windows phones.....the apps they have on offer are very limited compared to Apple and Android. That has been the main thing stopping people from going for Windows phones.
