We pick a half-dozen favorites from upcoming Barrett-Jackson docket. The upcoming Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2017 auctions on June 21 through June 24 include a whole lot of classic muscle cars, as you might imagine. While few things on the docket look poised to bring small-country GDP amounts of money, we did find some great F-Bodies and an LS-swapped classic Corvette. Big dollars or otherwise, here are some of the cool things we found on the auction listings.2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS Earnhardt IntimidatorWe find it hard to imagine a more inextricable link between racing and a manufacturer than Dale Earnhardt and Chevrolet. "The Intimidator" served as a spokesman for Chevy and still remains so 16 years after his death. Earnhardt"s dealership sold this Camaro SS, one of 83 Intimidator models, with a 381-horsepower LS1 under the hood. Its owners over the years have given it some tasteful upgrades; the American Racing wheels in particular look great on the car.Lot #430.11980 Pontiac Trans Am SE Bandit EditionSpeaking of iconic brand images, here"s a clean example of one of the most iconic of all Trans Ams ever built. This Smokey and the Bandit-style TA comes with the right black-and-gold paint, not to mention the turbocharged Pontiac 301. This one has undergone a frame-on restoration that included a rebuild of the engine and turbo 10,000 miles ago. Mustache not included.Lot #4491985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28Chevy introduced the International Race of Champions-spec Camaro in 1985. With the TPI-injected 350, Chevy put its pony car over the 200 horsepower threshold for the first time since before 1980. The louvered hood and IROC graphics on the doors mark this as perhaps the iconic 1980’s car. Every part is original on this one down to the tires with just 12,500 miles on the clock.Lot #324.11971 Chevrolet Camaro CustomWow. That"s really all you can say about this early second-generation Camaro. Ringbrothers did much of the customization work on this gorgeous piece of automotive art. Every surface of the car looks clean enough for food service and the Camaro looks ready to rip up the streets even sitting still in photos.Lot #7111970 Chevrolet Camaro Baldwin-Motion ReplicaReal Baldwin-Motion Camaros remain pretty rare still, but many people built their own replicas like this 70 recreation. Motion Performance took first-generation Camaros, cranked up the power, and then sold them in conjunction with Baldwin Chevrolet on Long Island. The partners at the time guaranteed 11.50 at 125 mph in the quarter mile, which was a pretty killer street machine from the dealership floor. This replica makes more than 500 horsepower from a Chevy 454, which means that a dedicated owner could probably still run 11.50 in it.Lot #3491964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible LS3 SwapWe don"t see a lot of Pro Touring-style C2 Convertible builds so this one comes across as a unique take. Aside from the wheels with big brakes, this could almost pass as a nice stock Corvette. The LS3 and five-speed manual along with a modern Ridetech suspension should transform it into a road-trip-ready ride.Lot #649Tags: Auction, Barrett-Jackson, Chevrolet Corvette C2, Chevy Camaro, LS(, Northeast, pontiac firebird
