My pile of mud is growing, digging out the foundation for the shed. i know its a bit of an overkill having a concrete base, but really going to be here long term, so wanting it and the shed to last 20 years.

Most of the rubbish in the cornet has now moved. Had loads of bricks the size of breeze blocks in there. Also lots of gravel and weeds with monstrous roots. It took ages.

While doing this, the extra mud gave me an idea of building a raised flower bed. The soil is good, no clay in it. However there are some brambles under the pile of mud so currently digging them out.

Brought some flowers on-line. All Fushias, 3 variants. Dollar Princess, Shrimp Cocktail and Delta's Sarah.

They were too small to go outside just yet, so popped them in a window box. Planted in the same order shown when it came in the packaging(image above) Been growing pretty well over the last few weeks. Although the 2 on the right aren't too well, so probably lost them too. Perhaps over watering, although the soil never got that wet. Perhaps I damaged them when planting. Its odd its the 2 on the right, and the next one along is showing signs of illness too. the rest are strong.

Created a few flower borders.

Dug a trench and planted Lilly bulbs 8 inches deep. Yep, pretty deep, but 6-9 inches is ideal.

Then added a wooden border just to surround it.

Please with the results done the bit outside the front door.

A few weeks ago while buying the flowers for the border. I thought I'll get some flowers to put in the new hanging baskets I got last year. While looking around the local B&Q i found some pre-made hanging baskets. We needed 4, and they were on £5 with a deal of buying 4 for £15, so went for that. Wasn't sure how well they would do. They had no flower's on them last week.

Look at them now, bursting with colour. Looking very healthy. last years were looking pretty poor, even had comments from a chap I do circuit boards for. He will be well impressed now. :)

A little more digging in the garden, mainly clearing the brambles from behind the mound of dirt. This will be pushed back and levelled into a raised flower bed. now just need to get some beams or wood or sleepers.

Thats it the cars have now lost you to the garden never to be seen again ,

Don't keep up the good work lol,

The long term plan is for the cars.
Building the shed means all the tools in the brick thing at the end of the garden can move in there. Then the wall and the brick thing can be knocked down, a fence put in the garden a cars width from where the wall was. Then widen the driveway, it can go double width.
A future plan is to double the garage width too.

Wow looking good. Well done it will be worth it in the end ;)

We laid our back garden to decking last year but still had a little bridge to do to meet the decking with our conservatory. We got round to starting this on Saturday and finished it :)

Dammit - upside down picture which I can't turn! :(

Yesterday i planned on doing a few small bits but we ended up moving about a ton of gravel from one area which we were using as a storage area to the other side of the garden in and around my greenhouse.

We had a garden box that was on the decking which we have now moved into the area where the gravel once was.

At the end of both days we chilled in front of our chimenea :). Those evenings are still chilly!
