Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat

I have some plastic trim under the wipers that has become discoloured over the years. I was chatting to my collegue in the states and he has been recommended this stuff but not tried it himeself yet. Other stuff dosn't apparently last as long as this.

Just wondered if anyone else has heard of it. I tihnk its a US based product so many not be commonly known here, but found a UK website for them. Very tempted to give it ago.

never heard of it but very interested good that it restores the plastic and not colors it might try it myself

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I will order some this week I think and give it a shot. I have plastic trims inside the doors and the bit by the wipers. May make them look new again.

Yeah I was thinking that too. Two wiper bolts, one screen wash hose, and some of them pushpin top hat fittings. Won't take long to remove and saves time in the long run, it will make it easier to get in every groove.

These are the 3 areas I wanted to use the product. The bit under the window and the plate in the door shuts.

Cleaned the bits in thr door shuts with soapy water.
The bit under the window I removed and put in the sink.

Let them dry over night.

So this morning it was time for applying the stuff. The smell reminds me of a science project, perhaps ammonia? The pack comes with 10 sealed wipes and 2 pairs of gloves.

Application is easy. One wipe done both sides, made sure I got in all the gaps.

Leaving to dry for a few hours before assembling back on the car.

Easy application. Results look great, certainly brought my old tired weathered outside plastic back to life. Used to use other products on it that would look great for a day or two.

Can you get a photo in daylight?
At the moment it looks a bit false. Too shiny, like it’s been over treated with armour-all or something, but it could be the lighting.

Sure I can wheel it out tomorrow if dry. It can look deceiving with the lighting. It's certainly darkened it, looks new, and not shiny like a clear coat of laquer.
