Sobeton Mill, Meon Valley - 18th Century former Watermill
I'm guessing it is water powered and probably by the River Meon. However, I can't see the river in the pictures. Any more info?
Fantastic stuff!Yes, it's just past the pumping station as you go north on the A32. Powered by the Meon as you say. Quite unusual as the machinery was mounted horizontally.

What will happen to that watermill? is it a protected building? will it be partially renevated for people to visit?
Yeah I know what you mean lol. There's no way he would be allowed to do that today is there! It was incredibly dangerous. How do you do a risk assesment on that? What if H&S was like that today?
Use to do shows in Fort Nelson a long lon time ago. This was back in 2002.
Wonder how they mow the grass, wouldn't want to be on a ride on mower, a long way to fall.

Wow, all them places to park. Great seeing old videos like this, 38 years ago. How large would the video camera be back then? This isn't exactly architectural, but is quite interesting if you've known Portsmouth for a while. It's a drive around Southsea filmed from a car in 1983!
And there are actually 2 yanks in it parked up in two separate places!
