This drag racing video comes to us from the STREETMACHINETV YouTube channel and it features a gorgeous 1967 Chevrolet Camaro making a few runs down the quarter mile. While this car looks show-worthy, it is also crazy-quick, covering the track in the low-9s.A gorgeous classicThis 1967 Chevrolet Camaro looks like the kind of car that would draw a crowd at a car show. It appears to be pretty much all-original on the outside, right down to the black vinyl roof. It does have aftermarket wheels and either a slick or a drag radial tire out back, but for the most part, this first generation Camaro looks like it did the day that it rolled off the assembly line.However, what"s under the hood of this classic Chevy is a far cry from the factory engine.Boosted LS2This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8. That engine is fully-built and fitted with a massive 88-millimeter Turbonetics turbocharger, with a tuned GM factory engine computer working with E85 alcohol blend.We don"t know what kind of power this turbocharged LS2 is making, but it is enough to propel this beautiful first gen Camaro down the quarter mile in the low-9-second range. In fact, this car"s best time is a 9.3 at 148 miles per hour.Track ActionIn the video above, this turbocharged 1967 Camaro is making a handful of runs at the Tuff Mounts Radial Blown at Street Machine Drag Challenge Weekend in Australia. We get to watch three runs, all of which begin with impressive burnouts followed by a surprisingly smooth launch. This Camaro appears to come out of the hole as straight as an arrow, storming down the track in the high-9s and low-10s.On the first run, the boosted Chevy runs its best time of the video with a 9.8 at 138 miles per hour.
