This week"s Throwback video features a commercial for the 1977 Chevrolet El Camino. The El Camino was new for 1977, with a smaller design than the "76 models while offering more headroom and most importantly it is a truck! At least, that was how the El Camino was marketed back in 1977. Tom T. Hall walks us through the advantages over the previous version, showing off the lovely striped bench seat before pulling out of the garage to reveal the large cargo bed. It will carry up to 800 lbs., but in this video it is carrying a few horse saddles and a couple of bales of hay. Best of all, a V6 was standard, but a V8 was optional.Enjoy!Tags: El Camino, throwback thursday
