Eight of the last 13 winners of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship (until 2013 it was called the Formula 3 Euro Series) have gone on to race in Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton, Nico H lkenberg, Romain Grosjean and Esteban Ocon all cut their teeth in the little single-seaters, before graduating to the big leagues. So the odds that this year"s winner, who was crowned at Hockenheim last weekend, will go on to join them is really very good indeed. Better than most, in fact, given his surname. Yep, Mick Schumacher is A Schumacher one and only son of seven-time World Champion Michael, who continues to battle injuries sustained in a skiing accident five years ago.
