If you sold your Saleen what would you call yourself? or did you say you would keep it and get an additional american car?

whilst i tend to agree that they are a common sight , I WANT ONE !! fastback would be nice but most of them have been thrashed ! and the good ones command a lot of dosh , however i would live on beans if i saw a good one up for grabs.

68 Camaro is tempting and its a chevy ! no rush this side of xmas or indeed the other side.

Dan , wash your mouth out sell my saleen I am mad not crazy

islander what's your price range ? how much work do you want to do yourself ? do you want a turn key exsample ? so we can all hunt the web to find you a nice mustang and post what we find ( sure you don't want a nice saleen) the new saleen model that comes out next year with 750bhp and all the toys got to be worth a look ?

up to 25k , turn key as i dont have the space or knowledge to repair. oh and a classic . The 750bhp sounds nice but ive had the speed thrill now and its more about the look than the power.

thanks to everyone for help so far

Well ive seen quite a few stangs !!! lately and spent a tanker truck full of fuel getting round to see them... nothing has tempted me to date from coupes to fastbacks ( apart from a 66 black fastback GT which was not for sale even at 40k )

I have 3 to look at after xmas one of which is near to what I am looking for so will update if I take a set of keys !!!!

Happy Crimbo !

Thanks for the update, hopefully the ones after Christmas will be good and for sale. I bet you cant wait. Good luck and have a nice Christmas.

still looking !!!! the ones promised were not as described sadly , since xmas I have seen at least a dozen cars fastback / coupe but not in the condition or spec that I want. Budget increased so may have to look at the usa import.

carsonline.com is a great site for anything American.

You will probably get one in better condition in the states, especially if you get from a dry state. Trouble is you may want to fly over there and see if before shipping it back.
I took a gamble on the Trans-Am, brought it, and got a shipper to go and collect it and bring it to Southampton docs, at the time the shipping was $700 as it was driveable (containers cost more) Had to pay ?4k import tax, but if the car was more than 10 years old i would have got something like 10% off. Anyway, I would certainly be happy to import a car again.

I've search though Ford for sale. Find a classic Ford car. for you, but only has the one Fastback mustang at the moment. It may be worth keeping an eye on that website in case another mustang comes up.

yes I think you are right , I missed a real sweety from detroit60.com 66 fastback GT, it was a bit more than the budget but it had its service book and original bill of sale.

its a gamble but if I could get it inspected then should be no problem. I am waiting on another find ...photos to come through. will keep updated.
