Apparently Peter Kay needed 176 lessons over six years to pass driving test, but blames his driving instructions.
Surely if you need that many lessons, then perhaps you are not cut our for driving.

Blames his instructors? What a dickhead. Take ownership for your own incompetence is my message to him.
basically the BBC said in their reply" comedy programmes are renowned for their realism and the use of mobile phones is one small detail which can help to underpin realism , in real life people do not always behave responsibly and the practice of using mobile phones whilst driving is a case in point. we feel if we are to successfully present characters as real people we have to acknowledge the existence of anti social behaviour in the human nature. none of the performers are in charge of a motor vehicle "
I think they are missing the point here big time ! Kay was seen stationary in traffic using the phone with the engine running and threw it on the passenger seat when the lights changed or cars in front moved off. its still an offence to have the engine running stationary in traffic whilst using a mobile phone. On Sky news this morning a small child was the subject of a news story where he and his mother were mowed down by a driver whilst using a mobile at the wheel . the mother survived but the child has no use of arms , cannot smile eat or do the things we all do on a daily basis.
I tried to respond to the BBC email but yep you guessed it they do not want your own reply back to them in response to their email !! as many have said BBC corrupt and a law unto themselves . I wonder if i made a comedy programme about a man driving his car in to crowds on a london bridge killing people they would have the same response to an outrage ? rant over !!! hope weekend is good for getting the car out .
