The video above comes to us from the National No Prep Racing Association YouTube channel and it features a pair of famous Chevrolet race cars. In the near lane, we have the "Shocker" Camaro of Kye Kelley and in the far lane, the Plan B Corvette of Daddy Dave. This battle of Street Outlaws" stars was one of the main events at the recent No Prep Kings event at Maple Grove Raceway, but the fans didn"t get the type of race that they expected.The CombatantsIn the near lane, we have the "Shocker" Camaro driven by Kye Kelley. This beast is powered by a 638-cubic inch Chevrolet big block with a monster nitrous oxide setup that nearly doubles the output of the engine. Based on what we have read around the internet, this Camaro is making somewhere in the area of 2,000 horsepower when running at full power.In the far lane, we have the "Plan B" Corvette driven by the man known as "Daddy Dave". We don"t know how big of an engine is jammed under the hood of this pro stock body, but we know that with a set of big turbochargers, this sleek race car is likely making comparable power to Kelley"s Camaro.The BattleThe footage begins with big burnouts by each of the GM-powered drag cars, with the two quickly backing up while the tires are hot. Once they have pre-staged and staged, the lights come down on the pro tree and the green lights pop to signal the start of the race.At first, Daddy Dave and the Corvette are out front with the big hole shot on the start, but Kelley"s Camaro takes the lead before half-track.However, something goes wrong with the Camaro and it is loses power, the twin-turbo Corvette gets the easy win.
