This drag racing video comes to us from the 1320video YouTube Channel, and it features a wicked twin turbo C6 Corvette Z06 known as the Unicorn participating at the Texas Invitational. This event is a high-speed drag racing event on an airstrip measuring well over a quarter mile and the hand-picked competitors participate in roll racing eliminations. The organizers point out that the Texas Invitational is not an event to see who turns the highest top speed but rather, which cars get down the track first in the elimination rounds.Meet the Unicorn CorvetteBefore the racing action begins, the folks from 1320video speak with someone from the Unicorn Corvette team. The details from the guy being interviewed are a bit sketchy. He thinks that the engine measures either 400 or 414 cubic inches. He knows that it is fitted with a pair of gigantic 80mm turbochargers. Oh, and a Pro EFI setup and a dual-stage nitrous system.Before heading to this event, the Unicorn Corvette made one dyno run at 20 pounds of boost and on that one pass, it sent 1,730 horsepower to the rear wheels. However, the guy being interviewed explains that on full boost (35-40psi), it makes somewhere in the area of 2,400 horsepower. We don"t know what kind of boost they are pushing in these runs, but it is very clear that this Corvette is making some monster power.Dancing Down the TrackOn the first run, the Unicorn Vette runs against another Corvette which is alleged to have 1,700hp. Oddly, the black Chevy seems to make a relatively light run at first. The red car struggles for traction, but the Unicorn eases down the track losing the race.Next, the twin turbo Corvette goes out for the speed index run. When the driver hits the throttle, it roasts the tires and dances all over the track.Finally, the video ends with three good runs one against a Lambo, one against a wicked Lexus IS and one against the red Vette from the beginning of the video.
