This week"s Throwback Thursday video features a homemade commercial for the 1994 Chevrolet Camaro. This commercial was created by a YouTuber named Camaro Rick, who is showcasing his enthusiasm for the 4th gen Chevy muscle car by combining a handful of different commercials with lines from some famous movies including Talladega Nights, Office Space and Desert Runners, and the TV show King of the Hill creating an unusual super-ad of sorts. The commercial begins by showing a guy with a red "fox body" Mustang broken down on the side of the road as King of the Hill"s Hank Hill provides humorous narrative. The driver of the Mustang approaches the black 4th gen Camaro (which is part of an actual Chevy ad) and when the door pops open, he drives away in the LT1-powered muscle car. From there, Camaro Rick splices together a bunch of b-roll footage from other 4th gen Camaro ads to show off just how well the 1994 Camaro performed. After that, this odd homemade commercial jumps to a series of strange interviews with what appears to be eccentric 4th gen Camaro owners. One guy describes it as like being in a jet cockpit and another states that it is like a Corvette with a back seat, but after a few interviews, the voices are provided by Milton in Office Space and by Ricky Bobby himself. The commercial ends with a few more magazine quotes and a short clip of two 4th gen Camaros racing off into the sunset on a twisty road course. In the end, this commercial is far too zany for Chevrolet, but it still does a fine job of showing off the 4th gen Camaro with a twist of humor.Tags: 1994, 1994 camaro, 4th gen Camaro, Ad, camaro, commercial, throwback thursday
