The Yenko name has made a comeback at SEMA this year. The name is once again synonomous with performance, just like it was during the peak of the muscle car wars.In its return, the sYc Yenko Camaro employs the use of a supercharged LT-1 producing 800 horsepower, and 750 lb/ft of torque. Total displacement comes to 416 cubic inches, and within that block sits an upgraded rotating assembly. A 4340 grade steel crankshaft sits at the bottom, with H-beam rods and forged aluminum pistons completes the short block. Beyond that, ported and polished LT-1 heads flow air from the 2.9L twin-screw supercharger.Performance upgrades go beyond just the engine bay, with performance driveline components, upgraded suspension, wider wheels and tires, and brakes. In terms of looks, Yenko’s recognizable stripes are in full display, with a wide variety of interior and exterior colors to choose from.Anyone familiar with the Yenko story will be very happy with its return. The legal hoops they have had to jump through seem to finally be put in the past, and that’s something we can all get behind.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >> #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
