Yep I remember seing that. Getting up early in the morning and seeing that on TV or after a certain point at night. Cant recall how late it was, but yes certainly remember it. i think it was Channel 4 though, but could be wrong, perhaps that channel finished earlier than others?
I'm pretty sure that one was on BBC channels and was called Testcard F. Yeah, I remember the CH4 one. I think that was digitally produced and was more like the one in AT's original post.Yep I remember seing that. Getting up early in the morning and seeing that on TV or after a certain point at night. Correct, CH4 appeared in 1982, I remember seeing the pilot broadcasts before it went on air. I was an apprentice TV engineer then lol. CH4 seems to be more mainstream by broadcasting style these days. Their F1 coverage is pretty good (although I'm guessing maybe that's not your bag AT?).Channel 4 came after BBC1/2 and ITV and was billed as the alternative channel. I seem to recall they didn’t close down as early as the others but who knows? That was a long time ago and I honestly can’t recall when I last watched a “terrestrial” channel.
