I will be camping, Malc and family and many others too.
You don't have to arrive in the convoy. Just mention to the marshals you are with the Renegades as they will direct you to the tarmac arena where we will be set up.
A good day with lots to see. My 84 year old Dad enjoyed the day despite his lack of mobility.
Thanks to all who organized.
Now, we have become aware that the Solent Renegades are being blamed for the Beaulieu stewards putting American cars they didn't feel were worthy in the public car park last year. I heard this from the guy with the '12 Challenger R/T and also from the Swindon Hot Rod and Custom show (which we are not affiliated with!). Apparently the turn out from this club was supposed to be massive today and then someone who ended up in the public car park last year put most off attending. A few did but around 6 or 7, and it was planned for 25+. Hopefully the stewards weren't doing the same this year, and the unfair abstentions will stop!
a great day out but to park on the tarmac in todays heat was a bit too much without any shade so sadly had to go under the trees away from main arena. The stage girls and dancing didnt get the attention they deserved as again no one wants to stand or sit on tarmac so the stage would have been better off on a grass area where people could have sat down an enjoyed the entertainment better.
we left early to avoid the the leaving rush so dont know what the cars who won anything in the year , class or etc etc and just an idea but as it opens to public at 10am judging should be over by at least 3pm so people can get on their way home if they have travelled far one couple came from south wales and left at 2 pm !!!!!! perhaps it could be noted in its organised by solent renegades for next year .
not a party pooper just an observation guys !! well done tho to all involved
That was me having a joke with Dan as his car is a TRANS AM (i have a T/A) and his car keeps wetting himself due to leaving oil leaks everywhere (see other thread ref his car) and i brought him a jack daniels drink well he did send me my tickets :thumb:
All very good points. Great to hear observations, and they will be passed back to beaulieu. They like to shuffle things around to try new things to see how they work, so feedback is great.
Greats turn out, thanks to all that came along to make the show.
ok so it was hot and some say the stage should have been on the grass, but if it was and it rained that would be wrong too. i had a great day out and all being well will be there next year sun shine or not
The planning for where things go are done months in advance. Perhaps they should have two plans in place and be able to swap around the day before so its more known what the weather will be like.
The weather was exceptionally hot. I was in the Gazebo most of the day. Couldn't believe the amount of dogs there walking on the tarmac, it must have been hot.
Great show, got many photos, didn't get everything. Will try to get photos up at some point today.
this old dog managed to walk around on the tarmac with bare feet. dannydog on the other hand just slept in the ranchero
[note for anyone not there all windows fully open, he had shade and water]
A massive well done to Sarah/Dan and all you guys within the Solent Renegade's...Due to various commitments in life i am unable to give full support to event's,club nights and cruise's but we did get to the w/ends show and thought you all did a sterling job and we will do our best to get to your event's more.
Sadly I didn't take down names.
I know a few of the categories and have photos. I will price together something in the morning.
I may get a list from Beaulieu soon so will post that too.
