This week"s Burnout Friday video features a 5th gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that is so nasty it smokes the front tires. Seriously. There are no details with this video explaining if any work has been done to the black Chevy Camaro ZL1 in action in the video below, but we all know the basics a 580hp supercharged LSA V8, a manual transmission and rear tires which will grip the road when asked. In this case, the owner isn"t asking for much from the tires shy of a whole lot of smoke, but even the sticky front tires aren"t enough to hold this beast back during a burnout. The burnout begins with the driver of this 5th gen Camaro ZL1 dropping the clutch and getting the rear tires smoking hard while the front tires are allowed to roll a bit. After a few seconds, the driver hits the brakes in an effort to keep the car in place, but when the front tires lock up the car has too much forward momentum for the front tires to hold the Camaro in place. The force of the tires roasting out back is enough to drive this ZL1 forward with the front brakes locked and as the car passes the camera, you can see that the LSA V8 is pushing the front wheels hard enough to get smoke to come off of them. This Camaro is doing such a wicked burnout that it is literally causing the front tires to smoke. In the image above, you can see the smoke accumulating behind the left front tire.As the 5g ZL1 rolls past the camera, the smoke show from the rear wheels really gets good as the RPMs soar and after about 15 seconds of good, hard tire slaying the driver lets off and the burnout comes to an end.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
