A great look at what a big turbo kit can do for a 5th gen Camaro SS.This Dyno Blast video features a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS working out on the rollers. In stock form, the 2015 Camaro SS is powered by an LS3 V8 which produces 426 horsepower and 420lb-ft of torque at the front of the transmission. That made the 5g Camaro car the most powerful to wear the SS badging until the 6th gen Camaro was introduced, but the owner of this white 5th gen Camaro has clearly decided that he needs a bunch more power.To achieve that extra power, the owner of this Camaro SS has added a Turbonetics setup with a 76mm ball bearing turbo, jamming around 6.7 pounds of boost into the LS3 V8. We don"t get any information on additional modifications, but with the stock look of the car and the relatively low boost levels we would guess that this is a very simple build. The owner likely has some fuel system upgrades to accommodate the extra air flow, but this video should give owners considering a build of this nature a good chance to see the results in action.The video starts off by showing the white Camaro SS sitting on the rollers and before the action begins, the camera pans around the engine bay, showing us just a bit of the Turbonetics setup. The video then jumps to a point where the Camaro is already through the gears and ready for the hard pull. The cheesy music in the background fades out as the roar of the boost LS3 fades in, climbing high into the RPM range before shutting her down.The camera then jumps to the dyno screen, where we can see that this Camaro SS laid down 441.8 rear wheel horsepower and 429.8lb-ft of rear wheel torque. As you can see in the image above, whoever made this video estimates that 441rwhp leads to 587hp at the flywheel, and while that 25% drivetrain loss factor is a bit extreme this Camaro still lays down sold whp numbers.
