The success of the show Street Outlaws has led to a huge boom in the popularity of "no prep" drag racing and one of the most well-known cars in the no prep world is the red Fireball Camaro. This video from the National No Prep Racing Association YouTube channel shows that familiar Chevy muscle car in action, beating down an older Camaro race car.The CompetitorsThe race in the video above was captured during the Nuclear No Prep at Cordova International Raceway in Illinois and it features a clash of wicked Camaro race cars. Unfortunately, there are no details accompanying the video, but we know that these are two serious race cars. The Fireball Camaro is in the right lane and if you pay any attention to the world of no prep racing, you should know this car well.In the left lane is a silver 4th generation Chevrolet Camaro race car. It appears to be a nitrous car, as we don"t see any obvious signs of forced induction on the engine poking up through the hood. The BattleThis clash of Camaro race cars begins with the burnouts. The Fireball car does a solid burnout, creating a nice little cloud of smoke and getting the tires good and hot. The silver car, on the other hand, roasts the tires like he is in a burnout competition.Long after the Fireball car has stopped cleaning off his tires, the other car continues to create a massive cloud of smoke. This is the kind of burnout that pleases the crowds, but smoke shows don"t win races. After the two cars stage, the green lights drop and the Fireball Camaro immediately jumps out to lead and the driver never had to look back. The right lane cruised to a huge win, and while we don"t get any times or speeds, there is no question that the Fireball team handed out a beating.Join the LS1tech forums today!Tags: 4th gen Camaro, 5th Gen Camaro, Drag Race, drag race monday, Video
