Not true. Tub it but then fit really wide cross ply tyres (period correct dontcha know) on 15" rims. Would look great but even a Mustang motor should be able to spin the tyres!!! :tongue2:
Sorry guy and girls for the delay-in progress a number of things are all happening at once at the moment with doing the house up and a sudden family problem (very ill health not me!!)so with one thing and the other she's been untouched since the pics were taken but work will start shortly thanks all for the interest so far .
Update well started to fit new spring hangers into the old girl today
she is now resting on all for springs so just the main floor to fabricate and weld in. Also start working on the engine fitted valley gasket and inlet manifold and carb
Hi guys about of an update. Things have started moving on the welding front . On the down side I’m now on the look for a 727 gearbox to fit in the back of the 383 so if anyone knows of one or is falling over please give us a call thanks
Well having now found out that the gearbox I got in the sale is for a 6 pot not the 383 I’ve managed to purchase a complete engine and box from a Cadillac for a lot less than the gearbox that I needed only problem now is the engine size has gone up from 6.3 liters (383) to 8.2liters (502) lol should be fun. Not the way I wanted to go but at £300 for engine and box was a no brainer just leaves me to fab up engine mounts and splice a prop for a complete drive chain . More photos to follow
