In essence, the 1977 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee was the start of the entire live-action, explosion-heavy Transformers movie series. You guys know the story. Nerdy Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his dad pick up the $4,000 corner car dealership find, even though it seems to be a piece of junk. Next thing Witwicky knows, it’s talking to him, driving itself, and helping him pick up the girl of his dreams, Megan Fox. Then it throws him into a universal battle with alien robots that weirdly disguise themselves as American muscle cars.Bumblebee is then reborn as the at-the-time brand new 5th-generation Camaro concept. That was nearly 10 years ago, and today, the Camaro has been through 5th-gen refreshes and Chevrolet even launched the kinda-new-but-not-really-but-also-completely 6th-gen. But Rob Schramm, a glass, mirror, and tile designer, is still stuck in the past and contracted Skepple designs to create a wrap for his facelifted 5th-generation Camaro to look like that beat up ’77 Bumblebee.
