That's brilliant. It will be good to see the Nova again, did it sail though the MOT or some advisories to tinker with over time? Is it all running well?
It will be sunny and hot :flame:, so see ya there or at the Morrisons meeting point at 7.30am.
Just to help anybody that need information for tomorrow taken from mocgb
Just to clarify a few frequently asked questions about WheelsDay......
1. There is NO pre-booking for show cars for WheelsDay - it is an arrive and display event so arrive early to ensure you fully experience the event
2. Entry via GU6 8HY or GU6 8TB (Compass Gate or Stovolds Hill) for all traffic
3. NO DOGS (or any other animals)
4. Wheels Day Trade Enquiries please telephone 07522 615509
5. No Club Stands - if you wish to display together turn up in a group and we will do our very best to place you all together
6. Entry is ?5 per adult, kids and OAP's go free (just as has been said all over this page)
LASTLY - Don't turn up to the event at 3:30pm and expect it to be in full swing! The prize giving and giveaways will be happening by this point and people will be leaving
Also spotted:
This year we will have proper security on the gate so No Staffie/Persian crosses allowed! Its a simple request which is one of the key points in our contract from Dunsfold Park along with no burnouts and nobody on the runway
I've spent most of my day cleaning/polishing Dan's TransAm, should be a great day tomorrow, especially if this weather keeps up! I got some colour on me today which is always great...downside is that the water dries too fast!
Good day. Nice and dry albeit a bit chilly. Huge turn out - I think they were surprised at how many turned up . Had to do a bit of a divert home as the m4 was showing very long delays so 2.5 hours to get home but good to get out in the Vette
That's really cool you got to meet them it was a really good day. Even though it was a bit cold that wind masked the sun so didn't realise until we got home that both Dan and me had caught the sun
We were lucky on the way home as had no traffic, although we didn't leave until nearly 5pm.
Just seen this post of the Rodders Facebook page:-
The only post I'm bothering with tonight is this one!
I DO NOT EXPECT TO RECIEVE SWEAR LADEN ABUSIVE EMAILS FROM ANYONE - NOR WILL I EVEN WASTE ANY TIME TO RESOND!!!
Just like all of the SSR I work totally free of charge donating my time to try put on a show for people to enjoy. I've even spent the last couple of weeks while in hospital seriously ill trying to answer or forward items to people who could help with enquires.
I was lucky enough to get out last night for the weekend so I could at least attend this year!
I understand some of the grievances people are posting with most being constructive atleast, and I will post an official club response as soon as we can; but in the meantime I don't expect to have to go through some of the quite vile emails I have received today! Especially when just as many want to tell me how much they enjoyed it!
As far as i'm concerned if you have nothing constructive to say perhaps you should keep it to yourself!
Regards
Andrew

Okay the show may have had some teething problems with the new venue. No need to complain with abuse. Personally I thought it was another great Wheels Day event, we got there just before 9am, drove straight in, no traffic, left at 5pm, no traffic. It took us all that time to walk around all the cars. There are many people that are out to pick faults, just get on with it and enjoy the day.
Hoe many cars do we think were there? 3000 including public car parking. all trying to arrive in 2 hours ish, that's 25 cars par minute to arrive and park up. that's a lot of though put, it will cause traffic. It coped very well.
Look at local football ground when its churning out time, its grid lock. I think Wheels day went very well in comparison to that.
However, I did not go this year, thought I would stand back and see what happens being a new venue and all. Any car show of this size is bound to cause traffic problems, Aldershot was no better. If you turn up early and leave late it's OK. But it seems like some exits were blocked by parked cars which is not good.
Hopefully the SSR will learn from this and improve the parking for next year. Some other shows that go on at Dunsfold (Wheels and Wings for one) are well managed and seem to have better marshalling. Hopefully the SSR can learn from them how to improve the influx of many vehicles at any one time and maybe turn what's obviously not true classics away to public parking.
It's a learning curve for the SSR and next year will be better I'am sure.
I have another video, a video of the route to Wheels Day and coming back too. Going though some lovely villages and shows we didn't encounter traffic until we were queuing to pay. the Video is 16x real time. There is a clock in the bottom right which the car cam put on. We got into wheels Day about 9am ish.

Hey guys didn't get to catch up with any of you which sucked!
We had a rough time and clearly our idea to arrive later to avoid the morning rush wasn't the best we ever had.
Queued for 2 hours to get in and finally got in at 13.30, it was not the best organisation but when a show gets to that size it is very tough. I feel they should have taken money on the gate as people were driving in rather than on a tiny side fence entrance as people were just walking in, but a new venue so all a learning curve as with all our events
V8UK have received quite a few complaint emails regarding the event as the listing was fairly high on the google searches and we have passed these on.
I hope this hasn't put too many people off as the venue is great, I just hope next year it will be even bigger and better now the land owner and event staff will know what to expect.
Personally we all enjoyed the previous year more, but with the new venue there is potential to make it into a great event... Just perhaps pick a better band as erm... well... yeah. haha
