Mot booked yet Sarah?

Not this week I'm afraid. Been busy so it will be booked in for next week now.

Booooo! Lol

Any update?

I'm sure Sarah will give an update later. Basically it failed on a couple of minor things, parts have been ordered. :)

She failed :(

The drivers rear brake was swimming in fluid so apparently pretty much useless. So have ordered new shoes, springs, levers and cylinders for both sides. Best I think just to replace it all rather than just the knackered cylinder.

Some welding needs doing under the rear of her, but our mate Simon, who took her in for the mot, has offered to do the welding for me only for the cost of gas and wire.....and most likely a roast dinner :D

And last....no rear fog. I took off the bulky looking thing that was hanging off the rear bumper when I bought her. So instead of hooking up another gastly thing, Dan is going to convert one of my reverse lights into a rear fog light. This is something I wanted to do but never got round to it....that and the old mot tester 'didn't see' anything wrong ;) lol.

So, nothing major, but unfortunately means that she won't be at the show Sunday :( She will be retested in a week or so.

She cae off the road due to mot/tax running out and other things had to be paid that were more important than the car....was only meant to be for a month or two but things get popping up and the Camaro had to take a back seat. Shame really, but house comes first :)

A leak which ended up in the footwell. Thought it was water getting in behind the front wing, but it looks like it was coming in from the top of the window, and running down the pillar, which has now been filled in. So should stay dry inside, we will see, its outside on the driveway at the moment.
The radiator also leaked, which has now been changed. So all should be good, its had a bit of a waxing when in the garage, just needs a bit of TLC and good to go.

Will be great to see it on the road again, sounded nice when the MOT guy drove it away from the house, and looks good on the road too.

  Sarah! How could you say something was more important than the car??? :loco:

:p

lololol

Ah Sarah - I'm gutted for you :(

Sounds as though they were all fairly minor though so shouldn't take too long to get it done.

Lots of little things....have ordered all brake parts from Rockauto (nice 5% off), got a red bulb to put in one of the rear light clusters and converting one reverse light into a fog, just wiring to pop through the car. Looks as though the leak we had before has gone so I'm happy about not having wet feet :D

So next weekend we should hopefully get Simon (mechanic friend) over to do my welding and rear drums.....then she's ready for the retest :D

Still looking forward to seeng her ;)

Can't wait to get back in her!!

So.....The brake parts have left the states, according to tracking info from Rockauto. Fingers crossed they'll be here by the weekend.

The rear fog light 'issue', or lack of, is nearly sorted. Popped to Pro Parts Saturday morning and picked up a red bulb to go into one of the reverse lights and Dan will be sorting the wiring for it this weekend too.

So if all goes well, brakes, welding and rear fog will be complete this weekend ready for a retest next week :)

Looks as if the brakes won't be getting done this weekend.

As you all know, ordered everything I need from Rockauto a week ago (who are normally super fast) but half my order is still in America and the other half has been sat in London for two days. Normally Fed Ex are the company that has always delivered my previous orders, but this time Landmark have been used....and needless to say I think that they are utter garbage!!

I'm disappointed this shipping company are being so slow.....I think it will make me think again about using Rockauto if Landmark is who they are using now.

Only good thing is that the welding will be getting done this weekend, along with the wiring for the rear fog light.

Gutted!!!!

Very frustrating, taking ages to get here. :(
