Going to get the drive way widened.

So far I have tripped over the flip flips more than anything else in the kitchen.

One panel up. Making it myself. Feels good seeing how it's coming along.

nice and solid looking but its going to catch the wind....
Thats why larchlap panels are done the way the are, to let the wind move through it rather than act as sail.
Hopefully you are not in a windy area?

Doesn't get too windy here, the panels are stronger than he wall that was there.

Good question, he would have to break up the foundation of the wall to get a post in there, yes its possible, but the wall is frail as it is. So he went from the gate, 6ft panels towards the wall. I'm happy to make a narrow one.

And there was me thinking it was to accommodate the powered sliding gates across the front of the driveway!
That had crossed my mind, and is still an option. for now it will be that slim panel. A sliding gate that length would probably get near to the shed. I have left a space behind the water butt on the shed and behind the raised flower bed for sliding gates to slide to. A future project.

Looks good :)

Another panel done.

All 3 cars fit. People walking past if I used a crane to get the Kia in there. I just reverse on and go forward a bit, there is plenty of room front and back.

Dont think the local recycling site would even take it lol.

got another 6ft wide panel made today. I'm getting good at this.... :)

Hoping to get the two smaller panels done today, and perhaps even start on the gate.

Going to be a small gate then?

Wide enough to walk through with a bag of shopping in each hand.

The two small panels all done and secured to the walls.

Next to build a gate, that wont be today. It will be made from 2x3inch wood. The other side of the gate will look like a fence panel.

yeah looking really good :)

Popped to port Solent car meet this morning for a couple of hours, then had a couple of hours to make a gate before going to mums.

Got the frame done, made from 3x2. Should have some strength in that.

It will still look like a fence panel on the other side. routed a grove all round for the t&g to slide in to.
