Running

Yes, I took a tumble just before the 5mile mark. My pace to that point was great putting me squarely at a 1hr 40min time.
My ankle was bad end of last week so it was always a risk, especially with drugs keeping the swelling and pain under control, but the fall exposed the weakness and ended the event for me immediately. Thanks to St Johns ambulance for getting me back.
And that marks the end of long distance running, I'm going to concentrate on shorter faster runs.

You both done well for entering, you cant help an injury, well done Clare for getting to the end.

Thanks Dan. Photos are now up from the race - oh dear!!!! In pain and so thankful to be coming across that line shows ha ha!!

Rather you than me. Did you do the whole race with eyes shut or just the end? you must have been aching like a gooden after that.

Just the last 100m or so towards the finish line ha ha!
