Ordered a new battery for the Grand Prix today. I have only driven it once since the 2 car cruise with Ranchero on May 17th. The battery died after I stopped in a shop on the way home. Always amazes me how they suddenly go down like that. Anyway, definitely the battery as it's showing a healthy 14.7V when the engine is running. It's a side terminal batttey. My usual motor factor didn't have one in stock and wanted about £140! But I found a Lucas one on eBay for £83 all in!
I must admit, I didn't check them
The Lucas battery arrived today and fitted well though, so the GP is back up on the button
I was gutted having to remove the old one... certainly the coolest looking car battery I've ever seen. And what a name...the Interstate Megatron II

Had a good 20mins tuning session yesterday with data logging, disabled the MAF and fuel trims. With no MAF its using MAP for engine load calcs. Recorded readings from the wideband sensor soo many cells are spot on. A few were not so have adjusted them.
Was good to get out in the car, also left it parks outside the garage for a bit while I cut some wood in the garage, planning to make some storage areas today for the club gear, 2 speakers and stands, the two gazebos, sandbads and flags. This storage area will also have a shelf along the top to store some odd&sods too.
Got a puncture on the Kia and with no spare wheel with that car, managed to get it home as had a foot pump in the boot. Luckily had a spare alloy and tyre in the loft so popped it on. May go to the garage Monday morning to get the puncture repaired.
Had a newbie moment, as I done up the nuts with it jacked up. The wheel didn't turn, I thought how odd, is the alloy jammed on the brakes... Saw extra pipes around the caliper. Thought perhaps the hand brake is on the front wheels too. So released the hand brake. Wheel still didn't turn. Then thought 'oh you dopey git its front wheel drive and it's in gear'. Lol. Doh!
took a bit more of the scrap van took the running van to get logs ran like a dream , started the trans am up as well might even let the wife no1 (saleen) see some daylight as its been shut away in garage for nearly 2 months,
All 3 ,,,Camaro is not far off painting, Trans am needs a passenger door skin at minimum but to get one in will costa fortune, rest of body is all prepped and ready, any mechanical's can come later,Mustang engine checked and given all clear, just needs painting, no other work done to mustang yet
