Went to start the Grand Prix on Friday and found the battery almost dead, there was barely enough power to operate the central locking! I was puzzled because I fitted a new Lucas battery last year. I jumped it and it started OK and is charging. On investigation I found the light inside the boot was staying on! I manually operated the boot lid switch and it isn't turning it off, so not sure what's happening there? Duff switch I guess, will look at it later. I took the bulb out for now and the battery seems to be staying up 👍

Colour sanding done,,,started making the engine bay a bit cleaner, nothing fancy in there just a tidy up

ordered bits for seats then decided to have a go at removing the dent at the top of the trim around the grill also looked at the crack in the plastic trim behind said trim it came out in 2 bits glued it back together then needed somewhere warm to spray it. fortunately the wife is on holiday. was only supposed to take an hour or two now a week or two.

Glad someone is doing something with cars.
Them 1 to 2 hour tasks taking multiple days, yep, always the way, hopefully you get it done before the wife is back.

will get the final coat of paint done on friday, cooked meal friday night then clean the house. pick her up on saturday.
will need to remove front bumper to replace trim now its one piece.

Sarah had a puncture on the Volvo so took my Kia to work.

Thought I'd whip the wheel off to get the pnctuire repaired, looking at the inner edge I tihnk a new tyre would be in order.

New tyre fitted and in time for her to come home at lunch so she can take it back to work.

Other tyre is fine, what happened is she drove it for some time without getting the tracking done, and the tracking has since been done.

couldn.t find a truck in uk????
Probably better off buying from the States, Garages really hike up the price of any imported vehicles they bring over.
