Cleaned it but a long way to go yet

so dropped the meteor in to the guys at ACM yesterday within a few hours shes stripped down ready for the work to begin

Looking good, they don't waste time dismantling.


Gonna start work on TA now. Changing rear trailing arms, shocks and discs and pads. Also cleaning up springs and painting. Wonder how much I can do before dark. Lol. I may take photos to post.

All done and packed away before dark. I could run a lead and light out there, but prefer to get it all finished and back on its wheels for overnight. Looking forward to getting that garage. Can work all night is need be.

Disks and pads changed


Shocks we're simple, but at the bottom and the top.


Trailing arms done, also simple with a bolt at each end.

Attempted to swap out front suspension. Need a ball joint splitter fur the lower part of the arm.


But that wasn't my only issue

I don't have new springs, no point fitting this to the new shock. So this job will need to be done once I have ordered new springs. Trying to source them in the UK. Currently Eibach fitted, the US part numbers seem so different to the UK ones. I have emailed Eibach UK to see if they can help.

Do yourself a favour. Order either the BMR ones I recommended or get Sam Stranos springs.
The better spring rates would blow you away over those Eibachs.

Thanks for the pointer in the right direction. There is a chance I may be shipped to the States at the end of May, so I have more options of suppliers that would be happy to ship to my hotel or UPS pickup point, as some supplied done like dealing with people in the UK.

if you got a 2 prong bearing puller you can use that instead of a ball joint spliter ,

In addition to finally moving into the new house today I found a few minutes to spit on the car and give it a rub with a dirt encrusted and oily rag(!)
Reckon it’s ready for shows, now I just need to attend one.

Been doing the 2nd set of turbo wheels and as I have posted pics previously you don’t need to see them,but today I tried something out on the tan seats as getting new covers in is costly
