I would usually have gone with Redline, but given the issue I wanted to address I thought it was worth a try. As the reviews on RP are so mixed I would probably have avoided it otherwise.
Worth the money? - I guess I will find out once the I have a few miles on it.
Good luck tomorrow and tell us how you get on with the new MOT rules and will you register your car as hvi or is it vhi so then no mot required just have a yearly mot check up with out registering on system?
so with it now a H.V and tecnically dosn't need a mot . have to agree i would still get any car i had a check for peice of mind think some people will leave it and wait till something breaks or insurance asks for a saftey check?
ordered parts to fix ranchero brakes. cylinders and shoes from USAutovotive and drums from dearborn classics. also ordered a new fuel tank vent valve to try and make it a bit easier to fill with petrol, from tanks inc.
Didnt fancy ordering from summit or rockauto then? find alot of uk suppliers are expensive but have it in stock
same with uk stuff need some parts for the van e.bay cheaper but wouldnt get to me till wednesday local motor factors almost double on a few items but next delivery.
Agree with Darren, mostly given up on U.K. parts houses. They charge top prices for cheap parts and buying from the US direct is often the same price for better quality parts even after shipping and is often just as quick.
i usually get my stuff from the US. i only bought the brake stuff here because i wanted to get the mot sorted quick. but i am not paying £150 each for brake drums when dearborn classics sell them for $40 each. about £150 for the pair by the time postage and tax is added
